Backup Tape Destruction Is Veritas Backup Exec Able To Determine What Files Are On A Backup Tape?

Is Veritas Backup Exec able to determine what files are on a backup tape? - backup tape destruction

Hello everyone,

I have regular backups of my Windows XP Pro machine DDS2 tape with Veritas Backup Exec 10 and I suddenly had an idea - it's easy to restore files from a tape when the file was written by the installation of Veritas (if catalog tapes ), but they say (in the worst case, this team) all else fails, it would be possible to have re-installed copy of Veritas read one of these bands and their content determined?

If you just want to make sure that my strategy is good:). Thank you for reading!

You must make the Veritas software and a recovery CD or floppy disk disaster. This will contain the drivers start to read into the tape drive and restore.

VERY IMPORTANT! You would not believe how many people never do, so it is very difficult to recover from a disaster.
